A small business owner who shows up and gets things done

Emmet County native Parker Fairbairn announces his candidacy to represent Michigan's 107th House District

The district includes Emmet, Charlevoix, and part of Mackinac, Chippewa, and Cheboygan counties.

For five generations, the Fairbairn family has lived, worked, and served the community right here in northern Michigan and have instilled in each generation our shared conservative values.

With his experience in business and deep respect for the Constitution and our conservative values, Parker is the leader we need to represent our District and put Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula back on the map.

Northern Michigan deserves better.

Lansing has corrupted our politicians and the 107th District has taken the brunt of that corruption. It's time to put an end to that now. We need common sense leadership and a Representative who will show up for our District, fight for our values and stand up for our District. I'm ready for the fight. I'm ready to represent you in Lansing and put our District back on the map.

"I'm running because we need a Representative who shows up. We need a Representative who will avoid the drama and do the job the people sent them to do."

Second Amendment

There is not much that needs to be said about the 2nd Amendment, because it speaks for itself - "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

As a gun owner myself, but most importantly, because I'm a constitutionalist. I unequivocally stand for the Second Amendment, and when elected, I will do everything in my power to support it.

Small Business

Small Business is the life blood of northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. As your State Representative, I will fight for our small businesses, not against them. I will stand up for the hardworking men and women and push to find solutions to some of the greatest roadblocks facing our business in Northern Michigan such as housing broadband, and helping to attract and retain talent.

Veterans

I believe in putting our veterans first. They deserve everything, and so many have been given nothing. While much of the guiding policy for veterans relies on the federal government, there's still plenty we can do at the state level to honor those who have served.

When you send me to Lansing, our veterans will have a voice. I strongly support policies such as cutting taxes for veterans, honoring disabled and partially disabled veterans with a license plate, and assuring our veterans have the care and help they have earned.

America First

Putting Michigan - and America first is a no-brainer for me. As a fifth generation northern Michigander, my family knows what it takes to run and operate businesses, and we have seen the negative effects that radical left policies have on our families and our livelihoods.

Lansing politicians have prioritized giving communist China a foothold in Michigan, while our families can barely afford to put food on their tables. We need effective representation that can fight for conservative values and put America first.

Natural Resources

As a hunter and fisherman, protecting and preserving our natural resources is a top priority for me. We live in the most beautiful place in the most beautiful state in the greatest nation on earth.

We have a duty to preserve our natural resources so that our kids and grandkids can raise their kids and grandkids here.

Any policy regarding natural resources must be balanced entirely with economic and local needs. A one size fits all Lansing plan is not the answer to help our communities thrive or to preserve our natural resources.
